St. Norbert College Campus from the Air
This spring day in May, 2020 as we are cautiously emerging from our COVID Quarantine, I took this opportunity to fly my drone from the east bank of the Fox River to capture views of the St. Norbert College, (SNC) Campus.
This campus has been the fabric of the De Pere community for over 100 years when it was founded in 1898. Our family arrived in the winter of 1972 and immediately were brought in as part of this community. The all-boys Catholic high school, Abbot Pennings High School I attended sat on the campus. From the windows of our classrooms, we watched SNC students move about the campus. We were probably more closely watching the college girls than anything.
During my teenage summers, I worked in the cafeteria, dish room, kitchen, and bookstore. Other days, we worked preparing for the arrival of the Green Bay Packers moving into the dormitories during Packer Training Camp. Other summers I became part of the crew for summer theatre.
The SNC campus has grown and developed over the years with many improvements including a new library, student lodging, sports center, and a medical school. This college has a wide range of undergraduate degrees available as well as graduate programs, including a new MBA program.
We are so very fortunate to have such a great facility right here in NE Wisconsin.
